Corey Clark Gibson, 53, of Paris, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 20th , 2026, at his home. Corey was born December 13, 1972, in Paris. He attended Paris High School, graduating with the Class of 1991. He then went on to graduate from Texas A&M-Commerce. He worked worldwide in the directional drilling business as a surveyor for many years, last working for Prime Horizontal Inc. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, driving muscle cars and gaming.
Surviving him are his children, Brody, Cooper and Sloane and wife of 20 years, Chaweewan. His father and mother, Jackie and Terry Gibson. His brothers Matthew Gibson and wife Ashley and Brandon Gibson and wife Melissa of Paris. Nieces and Nephews Ayla, Isabel, Teller, Kellan and Piper. His uncle Joe Clark of Denton. He loved his family dearly and his family loved him. He was a loving father, a great son and the best brother anyone could ask for.
He traveled the globe for work, meeting so many new friends from every part of world. He lived an amazing life. He was always surrounded by friends and family at get togethers and cookouts telling hilarious stories about his travels and the people he would meet around the world.
He had many friends that made him a very happy man. His best friend was Michael Marchbanks who would make Corey laugh to tears and was always around for a great conversation. He also had several friends such as Ryan Lassiter (RL), Barry Parker, Drew Smyers, Lane Patterson, Chad McDowell (Dougal), Chris Anthony, Dameon Driggars, Mary Payne and Cheyney Bryan and so many more that played a major part in his life. These people meant a great deal to him and he loved them.
He will be missed by those that love him. He was irreplaceable.
There will be a private family service at 3215 Abbott Lane at 12:00 August 29th 2026. Then around 3:00 there will also be a friends and family get together to share stories and drinks at his home on Abbott Lane.
Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
