Martha “Sue” Malone, age 86, of Paris, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 8, 2026.
Sue was born on October 12, 1939, in Cunningham, Texas, to T G “Mutt” Harvey and Odell Harvey. She graduated from East Lamar High School in 1957 and married her high school sweetheart, Buddy Malone, on May 10, 1957. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. Soon after their marriage, Sue became the proud mother of two precious sons, Tommy and Tony.
Sue spent ten years serving as secretary at Prairiland High School, where she was known for her kindness, dedication, and warm smile. She also devoted more than ten years volunteering in the auxiliary gift shop at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris, where she enjoyed serving others and giving back to her community. Sue and Buddy were longtime members of the North Texas Travelers Car Club and faithful members of the First Baptist Church of Deport.
Nothing brought Sue more joy than her family. She loved baking and cooking for those she loved and treasured gathering family and friends around her table in fellowship. She was especially known for her delicious red velvet cakes and homemade pies, each one made with love. Sue loved collecting angels, watching hummingbirds and deer in her beautiful yard, and taking in the simple joys of life around her. She was also an avid basketball fan and proudly cheered on the Dallas Mavericks, rarely missing a game.
Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buddy Malone; her brother, Charles Harvey; and her parents, T G “Mutt” Harvey and Odell Harvey. She is survived by her son, Tommy Malone and special family friend, Jennifer Simmons, of Paris; her son, Tony Malone and wife, Debra Malone, of Mt. Pleasant; her granddaughter, Micah Springston and husband, Blaine Springston, of Temple; her grandson, Matthew Malone and wife, Bethany Malone, of Mt. Pleasant; her cherished great-grandchildren, Rylee Springston, Beau Malone, and Tatum Malone; her sister-in-law, Scarlet Harvey; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Sue’s legacy of love, faith, generosity, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
