After more than 40 years of dedicated service to our community, Officer Richard Adams officially retired this week.
Adams has been a dedicated public servant throughout his career, serving with the Paris Police Department, Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, Paris Junior College Police Department, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
For four decades, he answered the call, protected his community, and lived the values of integrity, duty, and service that define the very best of law enforcement.
Since 2016, Adams has also served as a board member of Lamar County Adopt-A-Cop, continuing his commitment to officers and first responders even beyond the badge.
“His heart for this mission has made a lasting impact on our organization and our community,” said LC Adopt-A-Cop President Amanda Willows. “We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Texas2A for creating a beautiful and meaningful retirement gift (pictured) for us to honor Richard’s remarkable career.”
Please join us in congratulating Officer Adams on his well-earned retirement.
“Thank you for your 40-years of service, sacrifice, and leadership. Your legacy will continue far beyond the badge.”
