Beverly Joan (Perry) Frazier, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, August 12, 2025, in Venice, Florida. She was 80 years old.
Joanie was born May 20, 1945, to R. T. “Pug” and Eleanor (Endsley) Perry. She grew up in Roxton, Texas, and was a 1963 graduate of Paris High School. She attended East Texas State University, now East Texas A&M University.
In 1966, she moved to Irving, Texas, and married B.W. Frazier in 1969. They were married for 18 years and had one son, Robert, in 1979.
Joanie spent her professional career working accounts payable and accounts receivable for C.I. Communications, L.D. Brinkman, and later Dallas County. In 1995, she returned to Roxton to care for her parents. Following their passing, Joanie worked for Bealls Department Store until her retirement in 2018.
She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Roxton and later, First Baptist Church Paris. Joanie’s spiritual foundation was unshakable, and she was bolstered by Psalm 118:24 – “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
Joanie was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed great mysteries. She was also the family historian. Joanie was a passionate supporter of Texas A&M University – bolstered by her father’s enthusiasm for the Spirit of Aggieland – and her brothers’ attendance and graduation from College Station.
Special thanks to her long-time friends Charlotte and David Brittian, Betty Frazier, Barbara Gilliam, Barbara Ingram, Keith and Jane Martinez, and Ron Spear for the many years of love, laughter, and special memories that filled her heart with joy. Additional thanks to Joanie’s Sunday school class at First Baptist Paris – Doris Bryant, Ouida Howard, and Bill Kennedy for their kindness and friendship.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Amit Shah, along with the Tidewell Hospice House family, for their compassionate care and unwavering support.
Joanie is survived by her four boys; Dr. Rob Frazier, Bryan Martinez, Lucas and Cody; brother and sister-in-law, Drs. R.T. and Lia Perry; sister-in-law, Nancy Perry, and nieces, Karen Davis, Shelbi Anderson and Suzi Davis.
