It’s confirmed! Harbor Freight Tools is coming to Paris, Texas, and is tentatively expected to open mid-summer where the former Gene’s Flea Market once was.
Expected to open “sometime this summer” at 2810 N.E. Loop 286, Harbor Freight Tools will be housed in an about 15,000 square-foot building within former Gene’s Flea Market.
Craig Hoffman, director of corporate communications with Harbor Freight, said the company is “excited about this location because it will be our first in Lamar County – 107th in Texas.”
“We think it will be a lot more convenient for our customers in the Paris community, as currently, our closest stores are at least about 40 miles away in Sulphur Springs, Mt. Pleasant or Idabel in Oklahoma,” he said.
Hoffman said they look forward to being part of the Paris community.
“In addition to bringing 25-30 new, well-paying jobs to the community,” Hoffman said, “we also hire our construction crews from the surrounding community.”

“We’ve just been recognized by Forbes Magazine for the second year in a row as one of the top 20 Large Employers in all of retail, and we offer highly competitive pay, great benefits, and the opportunity to build a career in one of the fastest-growing companies in retail,” Hoffman said.
Hoffman said they have no date for when construction on the approximately 15,000 square-foot building will begin.
