Tracy Johnson, Stone Middle School 6th-grade math teacher, turned the classroom into a vibrant glow-in-the-dark space for a unique math review session, just before upcoming state testing.
Mrs. Johnson wanted to alleviate any pre-test jitters and make math revision an enjoyable experience for her students. Drawing inspiration from creative teaching methods, she transformed her classroom into a glowing wonderland, complete with neon-colored posters, glow sticks, and dim lighting.
The “glow-in-the-dark” math review session incorporated various interactive activities and games designed to reinforce key mathematical concepts. Johnson’s innovative approach not only engaged her students but also fostered a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere for learning. By infusing fun and creativity into the review session, she aimed to boost her students’ confidence and motivation as they prepared for the upcoming state tests.
