Earlier this week, the Paris Regional Medical Center – Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center was named ‘Wound Care Center of Excellence’ for 2017.

This is the fourth year, and third consecutive year, that they have received this designation.

“It’s a pleasure for all of us to serve the Paris, outlying areas and SE Oklahoma communities,” said Mary Kay the Director of Wound Care Clinic. “We enjoy coming to work each day, with a smile on our face and a happy heart. That’s why our patient satisfaction scores always run high.”

To reach ‘Center or Excellence’ you must pass certain benchmarks provided by the company that runs the Wound Care center for the hospital.

“You must achieve these data points two years in a row. You start off with the Center of Distinction. Same benchmarks as ‘Center of Excellence’,” explained Mary.

Healogics, Inc. has over 700 hospital sites and only about 250 achieve this milestone per year.

“We are happy to be included in that group that works to achieve greatness.”

Healogics, Inc. benchmarks are a follows:

Heal rate: 91% or higher (2017: 99%)

Median Days to Heal: 30 days or less (2017: 28)

Outliers (how long a patient stays in treatment): 19% or below (2017: 13%)

Patient Satisfaction: 92% or higher (2017: 95%)

“Our clinic opened up in 2010, and I started January 2nd, 2012,” said Mary. “We made Center of Distinction in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and we’re on track for 2018.”

In 2016 and 2017, PRMC Wound Care Clinic made ‘Center of Excellence’ and are on track for COE for this year as well.

“We’ve endured major changes in physician coverage and staff, but still made tremendous achievements. Our patients come weekly until they are healed and so we become a friendly family environment.”

We have a g team who’s one main objective is to heal the patient and provide quality of life. We are proud of what we do and that we have made someone’s life better.”
SAVE A LIMB; SAVE A LIFE.
