Paris police responded to a forgery at 8:55 a.m. on May 21, in the 2000 block of Bonham St. The suspects left after passing a fake $100 bill to pay for an order. Officers later located the suspects vehicle in the 400 block of NE 12th St. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence in that location and were able to also locate materials that were used to make the fake bill. No one has been arrested at this time and police continue to investigate.
Then at 9:04 a.m. Thursday, Paris police met with a victim of a burglary of a residence. The incident occurred in the 3700 block of Pine Mill Rd. The victim reported that he had left the residence to go to the store and upon his return, observed two people that he knew exiting the residence. The victim reported that a ring and some cash were taken. The incident is still under investigation.
Officers located 36-year old Desiree Ann Diggs, of Paris, and placed her under arrest at her residence for a Parole violation warrant. Diggs was processed and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
