On Apr. 14, at 10:35 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the 2900 block of Briarwood for a traffic violation. The driver identified himself as Samuel Blake Adams, but could show no identification. A consensual search of the vehicle located paperwork belonging to Eric Ray Adams (38) and it was determined that Eric Adams was the subject detained. Adams was charged with a Parole Warrant as well as Failure to Identify as a Fugitive From Justice.
On Apr. 15, Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 800 block of SE 42nd. Officers contacted arrested person, Leah Dawn Bosse (40) who had assaulted a 65 year old family member. Bosse was injured prior to officers arrival and officers were rendering assistance when Bosse attempted to reenter the residence. She was detained at which time she struck and then kicked the officer. She was restrained, arrested and transported directly to Lamar County Jail. Bosse was charged with Injury to the elderly as well as Assault to a Public Servant and Resisting Arrest.
On Apr. 14, Officers received a report of a disturbance in the 1100 block of Grove St. The arrived and made contact with Holden Shayne Harrell (23). During the investigation it was found that Harrell and a family member had been arguing while he was intoxicated. During the argument Harrell had gotten a firearm and threatened to shoot himself and the family member. Officers located a firearm in the location the disturbance occurred. Harrell was arrested for Terroristic Threat of a Family Member.
On Apr. 12, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of NE 3rd for defective equipment. The vehicle was driven by Karen Lyria Henry (57). Henry could not provide insurance information for the vehicle and had no Drivers License. The
vehicle was towed. During inventory of the vehicle, officers located “Crack” cocaine in the vehicle. Henry was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance.
On Apr. 14, Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 3500 block of NE Loop 286. While officers were approaching one of the vehicles it sped away from the initial scene of the accident. The vehicle was pursued until it stopped in the 3300 block of NE Loop 286 and officers made contact with Sierra Jade Townsend (28). Townsend was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with DWI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident involving damage.
A report of a burglary of residence was received in the 1500 block of W. Henderson. The victim advised that a known suspect was contacted carrying property from the residence. Victim is missing lawn mowers, hand tools, air conditioners, and electrical wiring from the residence. The investigation will continue.
Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 1100 block of NW 15th. Officers found fired cartridge cases and a pair of shoes in the area. No victims or suspects were located. The investigation will continue.
Officers worked a burglary of residence in the 300 block of Stone Avenue. The victim advised that a known suspect had illegally entered her apartment and had damaged her televisions and her microwave oven. The case is pending and under investigation.
Officers made 90 traffic stops, 11 adult arrest, and answered 311 calls for service for this reporting period.
