The United Way of Lamar County (UWLC) on Friday announced the addition of three new board members that will replace outgoing board members Mihir Pankaj, Shelley Landers and Clint Cheatwood. Joining the Board are Alicia Moore, Blair Briscoe and Sarah Lumbert.
Alicia Moore is honored to be on the United Way Board of Directors. Alicia was born and raised in Oregon, but moved to Paris Texas 23 years ago. Many will recognize Alicia from Paris Coffee, where she was blessed to start 20 years ago with her family. The army moved Alicia and her family away from Paris for 10 years, but after her husband’s retirement they returned to Paris to help with the family business. She and her husband Kevin have 8 children ranging from 5 to 21 years old, so life with the Coffee shop and kids keeps them very busy. In 2017, they started a nonprofit in Missouri supporting families involved in Foster Care. Working alongside the Children’s Division to find appropriate placement and provided extended resources to the foster homes. After returning to Paris Alicia teamed up with CASA to oversee the CASA Christmas Project which provides Christmas Wishes, clothing and shoes to every child in our local foster system.
Blair Briscoe is a Paris native and a graduate from North Lamar High School. In 2016 she graduated from Texas A&M University of Commerce. She began her career in the banking industry at Lamar National Bank in 2015 where she started as a teller and climbed to her current position as the Loan Operations Supervisor and Banking Officer. She and her husband, Walker, have been married for 5 years and together have a 3 1/2-year-old son named Weston. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, hunting with her boys, and being in the company of her friends and family. She is an active ambassador for the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce and a recent graduate of the class of 23-24 Leadership Lamar County. Blair is excited to become a part of the mission of the United Way of Lamar County and ready to serve the community.
Sarah Lumbert was born and raised in Plano, Texas. In 2007, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an Industrial Engineering Degree. She began her career at Kimberly-Clark after graduation and has continued to climb and hold various roles within the company until settling into her current position as Process Technical Leader for Baby Child Care. Sarah and her husband, Chad, have been married for 14 years and have 3 children: Kenzie (10), Jaden (8), and Bronson (3). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, being involved in gymnastics, golf, and dance with her kids, and enjoys time spent with friends and family. She is a graduate from the class of 12-13 Leadership Lamar County and is excited to join United Way of Lamar County to help serve the community.
