Over the weekend, Texas Governor Greg Abbott asked all Texas retailers to “remove all Russian products from their shelves.”
In the social media post, the governor included, “Texas stands with Ukraine.”
In his post, his request was made to the Texas Restaurant Association members, Texas Package Stores Association members and all Texas retailers.
“We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and stand ready to help businesses as they support the economic sanctions by finding alternatives to Russian imports,” the Texas Restaurant Association said. “We join in the global prayers for peace and safety in this troubling time.”
The Texas Package Stores Association said their members are proud to support the people of Ukraine, “and stand ready to support economic sanctions by removing Russian imports from our stores. We send our prayers for freedom, peace, and comfort to all who are suffering.”
