An investigation is underway and warrant being sought for a suspect in a shooting that resulted in the victim being flown to a Dallas area hospital.
A Reno Police Officer was the first on scene and administered CPR to a victim after officers were dispatched at 7:05 p.m. on Oct. 21, to 603 Booker T. Washington Homes regarding a shooting.
A large crowd had to be dispersed before officers could gain control of the scene.
Paris EMS arrived and took over treatment of the victim before transporting them to Paris Regional Health by EMS and later to a Dallas hospital by air.
According to the report, during a subsequent investigation at the scene, it was determined that a known suspect had shot the victim and left the scene.
Physical and video evidence was obtained at the scene and police are obtaining a warrant for the arrest of the suspect in the incident.
The condition of the victim is currently unknown and the investigation continues.
