On Oct. 22 at 11:09 a.m., officers arrested Sherry Elaine Lenoir after receiving a call of an intoxicated person in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue leaving a retail store. Lenoir was stopped in her vehicle and found to be intoxicated. She was booked and transported to Lamar County Jail.
On Oct. 20 at 4:40 p.m., Scott Lee Martin was arrested at the Parole office on an outstanding warrant for a Parole violation. He was booked and taken to jail without incident.
On Oct. 20 at 2:54 p.m., a traffic accident in the 1200 block of E. Sherman brought officers into contact with Misty Proffer, who had struck another vehicle from behind. Proffer was found to be intoxicated and admitted to having used alcohol and prescription medications prior to driving. She failed field sobriety testing and was arrested for DWI. She was jailed at Lamar County Jail.
On Oct. 24 at 11:46 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of NE 20th in reference to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Officers located a vehicle in the ditch and identified Randon Smith as the driver. Smith admitted to having been at a local club and having been drinking. There were open alcoholic beverage containers in the vehicle. Smith was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was transported to Paris Regional Medical Center for blood testing and treatment for injuries sustained in the accident. Smith was later taken to jail.
On Oct. 20 at 11:16 a.m., officers received a call of a Theft in the 3100 block of NE Loop 286. The owner of a vehicle returned to his vehicle on the parking lot and found a white male subject stealing power tools from his vehicle. The victim confronted the suspect who was attempting to leave in a blue suburban. The suspect fled the scene. In doing so the victim sustained injuries to his arm. Investigation will continue.
