A stray dog, who has avoided capture for more than year, was safely caught by Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue on Thursday morning, who plan to find him a “loving home off the streets.”
“Bubba has been on the run for over a year at the mobile home park behind Walmart,” said Sheri King Ashford with BGAR. “Carla Thompson has asked for help in trapping him that whole time and no one able.”
Knowing catching Bubba would be difficult, Ashford enlisted help from Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue’s “Trapping Queen.”
“The dog whisperer, Jana Sanders, met Carla this morning with her trap, famous chicken livers and Braums snacks and had him caught within five minutes.”
Not much is known about Bubba at this stage but he will get groomed and vetted today before the non-profit finds him a new home.
“This poor guy seemed happy to finally be safe.”
