Lamar County Human Resource Council announced its upcoming Sidewalk Sale Fundraiser to benefit the Horizon House.
“Tons of clothes in all sizes” will be available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, and filling a single bag will be $5 and two bags for $8. All funds raised from the Sidewalk Fundraiser will benefit the Horizon House’s transitional shelter.
The Sidewalk Fundraiser is cash-only and will be at 450 S.W. 4th Street in Paris, and donations are accepted.
“We appreciate the support of our community so much, and we absolutely could not do what we do without you,” LCHRC Executive Director Shelly Braziel said.
The Horizon House, a transitional shelter, provides individuals with the tools needed to prevent future occurrences of homelessness, said Braziel.
“Most of our residents work or receive social security, and they use those funds to save up to enable them to move out into a safe, sustainable home at the end of the two years,” she said.
