Prairiland FFA competed Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at the Area VI Leadership Development Event Contest. Two of their teams advanced to the Texas FFA State LDE Contest in Huntsville, Texas, which was held Dec. 2.
The Greenhand Skills Demonstration Team made history at Prairiland by being the first team made of three 8th grade students to advance to state. These three young ladies are in the new Principles of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources class offered to 8th grade students at Prairiland. This group is the first 8th grade students at Prairiland to compete at the state level in FFA.
The Agricultural Advocacy team is extremely important in promoting and advocating the importance of agriculture.The State FFA Contest will be held December 1-3 at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.


Radio Broadcasting placed 3rd with Keegan Forry, Trenton McBride, and Emma Allison.
Senior Chapter Conducting placed 6th with Randee Maull, Aubree Phillips, DJ Ledbetter, Laken Dawson, Addi Bulls, Karlie Harp, Heather Rogers, and Dalin Murdock.
Andrea Moreno placed 7th in Senior Spanish Creed Speaking.
Senior Quiz placed 8th with DJ Ledbetter, Karlie Harp, Heather Rogers, and Laken Dawson.
Public Relations placed 8th with Aubree Phillips, Reese Bassano, Cadie Gray, and Keeley Webb.
Ally Stapleton placed 9th in Greenhand Creed Speaking.
