During the Sheriff’s Association of Texas annual training conference on July 22, Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass officially took the oath as the association’s new president.
Cass has served the Sheriff’s Association of Texas in several leadership roles over the years, earning the respect of his peers through his commitment to honor, integrity, and professionalism.
Several staff members, friends and family joined law enforcement officials and members of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office who attended the banquet to witness Cass take the oath of office.
“To say we are proud of our Sheriff is an understatement. Sheriff Cass demonstrates daily to the staff what a leader should be: selfless and always willing to serve others,” said the Lamar Country Sheriff’s Office. “Our county is fortunate to have Sheriff Cass as our Sheriff. The Sheriff’s Association of Texas is fortunate as well to have him as its President.”
“On behalf of all the staff at the Sheriff’s Office, CONGRATULATIONS, Sheriff! We are proud of you! As you would say, “Keep on Keepin’ on”!
