Mary Ann McCool, 78, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at Paris Regional Health.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15th at the Pavilion of McDonald Cemetery with Master Sergeant Paul McCool, USAF officiating. Mrs. McCool, the daughter of C. O. Adams and Maggie Frazier Adams, was born June 22, 1946, in Lamar County, TX.
She attended Paris High School. On Feb. 24, 1962, she married Wesley Joe McCool, building 31 years of family and memories before his death on April 25, 1993.
Following the death of her husband, she began working for Braums, and her career there spanned 20 years before her retirement.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Robert Wesley McCool, a son-in-law, Roger Armstrong, and two sisters, Charlotte Rae Adams and June Taylor. Survivors include two children, Paula Armstrong and Paul McCool and wife Sharon, three grandchildren, Hunter Armstrong and wife Callie, Kaitlan Armstrong, and Nataly McCool, one great grandchild, Parker Armstrong, and one sister, Burl Dean Jones along with several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
