Paris police are investigating a shots fired case near the 1800 block of Cedar Street in which it was reported someone was possibly shot at while walking on Trail de Paris.
While officers were conducting a separate investigation in the 1800 block of Cedar St., they heard several gunshots to their south, according to Paris Police Officer Terry Bull. The officers on scene were unable to locate the source of the shots, and it was later reported someone had been shot at while walking on the trail.
“The reporting ‘victim’ was somewhat vague and unforthcoming about the details of the incident,” Bull said, “but officers did conduct an investigation and spoke with witnesses and involved individuals.”
The investigation is ongoing.
