Paris, Texas — When Texans Reach Higher
New branding for Paris, Texas, was released by city officials in April and this week, Paris’ new logo, representing “unified vision and commitment to capitalize on the momentum in the community right now” was painted on the towns water tower.
“It is so neat to see the new logo on the water tower,” said Mayor Pro Tem Mihir Pankaj. “This was very much a community effort, and I want to thank all those that helped and participated in this exercise.”
Over the past 18 months, leadership from the City of Paris, Paris Economic Development Corporation, and the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce have led the community-driven branding initiative.
The brand was developed to equip all four entities and citizens as citizens communicate and grow through municipal activities, event recruitment, culture, assets, and amenities.
“Collectively, we have a shared vision to put Paris on the map with a positive and unified voice,” said Executive Director of Paris Economic Development Corporation Maureen Hammond. “It is incredibly exciting to see these efforts materialize as the brand is implemented on marketing assets like the water tower and downtown billboard.”
Primary colors of the new logo emphasize the true colors of Texas with variations of blue and red.
“We’ve taken a vibrant approach that coincides with our future. In addition, we’ve added greens and yellows as a secondary color palette that ties in our deep roots in business, industry, agriculture, and family.”
The new branding will be used for promotional, educational, and informational purposes. Updating the brand will take place over time.
“City services, for example, will be more visible and recognizable due to the brand’s application on vehicles, apparel, and other city infrastructure as needed. The PEDC, Visit Paris, and Chamber’s brochures, social media, and marketing materials will use the new design to stand out amongst other competing cities to show what makes Paris special compared to other cities in the region.”
Paris, Texas, is the gateway from Texas to the upper 48 states with a rich history, strong community, and compelling future.
