To promote its new chicken sandwich, KFC France is showing some love to U.S. cities with French names including Paris, Texas, is its latest advertising campaign.
Local videographer and owner of Red Cord Productions, Jeff Davis was contracted to film the footage in Paris, Texas, by an ad agency in New York.
“Incredible experience getting to help shoot for @kfc_france,” said Davis on his social media.
The idea was simple, get locals reactions when a KFC France (in French) billboard was unveiled on Loop 286 in front of McQueen Propane.
In the first of many ads expected to be released, Jonathan Robinson of Paris, is featured saying, “Cuisine with du Poulet François” which means “cooking with French chicken.” (According to Google translator)
“The French I spoke was just my terrible translation on the spot,” laughed Robinson. “It felt great to be chosen from those that gave it a shot and I’m very grateful for the opportunity.”
The billboard in Paris, Texas, reads, “BORN IN LES USA, BUT CUISINE WITH DU POULET FRANCAIS.”
Other towns in the U.S. with French names featured in the campaign include Marseilles (Illinois), Bayonne (New Jersey), Lyons (Colorado), and Orange (California).
