The wait is OVER…this weekend the Paris Pumpkin Patch will be open to the public at the Farmer’s Market in downtown Paris.

Big, small, weird looking or funny…the pumpkin patch has a pumpkin for everyone. Prices start at 75 cents and decorating your pumpkin is FREE.

“We have paint, glitter, hair, and eyes down here at the pumpkin patch for those who want to decorate their pumpkin,” said Recreation Supervisor for the City of Paris Bridget Domengeaux.

Throughout the month, local schools will visit the pumpkin patch giving kids an opportunity to pick out and pumpkin and decorate it.

“We will read pumpkin stories with the kids and this Saturday, October 6th, at 10 a.m. the Paris Library will set up picnic blankets and read to the children.”

The pumpkin patch will be open all month long Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“We’ll also be open on Mannequin Night,” said Bridget.

If you want to volunteer to help at the pumpkin patch, please contact the City of Paris or stop by.
