Toole Design’s full recommendations for Downtown Paris have been released, and are available on the City of Paris website.
Detailed within the report are the proposed changes, the reasons why those changes are suggested, and recommendations on the implementation of those suggestions.
Highlights include restoring two-way operation to one-way streets (to improve safety, traffic flow, and the overall appearance of the area), Increased and reconfigured parking, expanding the green space around the Culbertson Fountain, and improvements in and around the Farmer’s Market area.
The presentations made by the Toole Design Group were very well-received, and many CIty staff and representatives have voiced support for the plan.
The next step will be considered by the Paris City Council. A discussion will be held at Monday Night’s City Council Meeting.
