Bicyclist Arrested After Consenting to Search Yields Illegal THC
Shortly after 2 a.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, officers conducted a stop of a male bicyclist in the 1500 block of West Houston. During the stop, the male voluntarily consented to a search of his person, during which officers located a THC vape pen containing illegal THC oil.
The male was subsequently placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2 (1–4 grams), a third-degree felony. He was transported to jail, where he was processed without incident.
Officers made 16 traffic stops, made 3 adult arrest, and answered 78 calls for service during this reporting period.
