On Jan. 12, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of SW 19th Street. They met with the caller, Stephanie Rea Guatier (27) who advised she had been assaulted. Guatier was under the influence of some narcotic and could not give clear information. She admitted to having taken “Extra” Xanax so she could sleep. Gautier then volunteered information to the officers that her roommate, Brandon Charles Bergeron (29) was keeping narcotics in the room. Officers located a large quantity of various types of narcotics in the room in question as well as evidence to indicate the narcotics were being processed and packaged there for resale. Bergeron and Gautier were arrested for possession and delivery of a controlled substance (Felony). As officers conducted a safety check of the residence, they located Rhonda Kay Lester (41) in a another bedroom of the residence. Lester advised that there were also narcotics (Methamphetamine and Xanax) in that room. A search warrant was requested and received for the house and grounds. Officers serving the warrant located numerous illegal drugs, paraphernalia, and weapons and ammunition in the residence. Another occupant of the residence, Issac Ray Duran (28) was found to have methamphetamine, THC Wax, individual pills for which he had no prescription and a semi-automatic rifle in his room. All subjects were charged with multiple charges including Manufacturing and Delivery of Controlled Substance, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. All were processed without incident.
On Jan. 11, Officers received a report of a lost and stolen credit card from a victim in the lobby of the department. The victim had allegedly dropped his wallet on the parking lot but had believed it was in his vehicle. Almost immediately the victim began receiving fraud alerts on his credit card as unknown suspects began using the cards. The owner and his spouse began attempting to deactivate the cards. Officers went to a local business where the card had been used and made contact with an employee who remembered the suspects and provided photographs of them from the camera system. They were identified as Tyler Dean Poarch (30); Adam Jeffrey Hurst (33); and Jeremy Travis Poarch (28). Information was received that the suspects had used the cards at the Choctaw Casino in Grant Oklahoma. The Police in that jurisdiction were notified to watch for the suspects. Later a witness called and advised they had seen the suspects entering the Paris Wal Mart. The three suspects were located by officers and detained. Some of the stolen property was recovered as well as further evidence including several types of illegal narcotics. All suspects were arrested and charged with Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Methamphetamine. Once in the back of the patrol unit, two of the suspects were observed taking pills that they had concealed on their persons and identified as Xanax. They were charged with Tampering with Evidence. Tyler Poarch and Adam Hurst were charged with Credit Card Abuse of the Elderly. All were booked without incident.
On Jan. 13, an officer was in the 700 block of Graham St when he noticed a vehicle meeting him in which the driver was wearing a ski mask. Finding this suspicious, the officer turned around to follow the vehicle for observation. The other driver turned north on NW 9th, accelerated to an unsafe speed, hit a dip and lost control of the vehicle skidding into a field for multiple yards and then crashing into a ditch. Contact was made with the driver who consented to a search of he vehicle. Inside the vehicle officers located narcotics as well as evidence of packaging narcotics for sale. Evidence was collected and the driver, Matthew Kyle Odell (30) was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.
Officers made 1 traffic stops, 1 adult arrest, 7 motor vehicle accidents, and answered 95 calls for service for this reporting period.
