Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 4:39pm; a Paris Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Clarksville Street in reference to found property. A store manager had found a loaded handgun in a restroom. The officer unloaded the handgun and rendered it safe. It was not reported stolen through NCIC/TCIC. The owner is unknown. The handgun will be store in police evidence.
Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 5:49pm; a male suspect arrived at a store in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue, entered and shopped $397.77 worth of assorted items, including a Lifetime Polyethylene Cooler, Tide Pods detergent, Reebok fleece hoodie and a pair of men’s clog sandals. He made no attempt to pay for any of the items and left the scene before the store associate could stop him. The suspect has been identified and a Felony-Theft Property <$2,500 2/More. Previous Convictions will be further investigated.
