The Salvation Army of Paris has announced their schedule for Christmas assistance registration.
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program has been running for over 44 years to help provide Christmas gifts from generous donors for hundreds of thousands of children, seniors, and adults with special needs around the country each year.
In North Texas, which hosts one of the largest Angel Tree programs in the world, The Salvation Army ensures tens of thousands experience the joy of Christmas morning each year. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program serves as a symbol of hope, particularly at a time when many are continuing to struggle with the impacts of inflation and rising costs. Across the region, thousands are faced with tough choices on how to stretch their already tight household budgets, leaving many torn between purchasing presents for the holidays or putting food on the table.
The Salvation Angel Tree program helps alleviate that added financial and emotional stress.
Once a child or senior adult has been registered and accepted as an Angel their Christmas wish list is shared with donors in the community who purchase gifts of new clothing and toys. Gifts are distributed to the family to place under their family tree, making Christmas brighter for all those in need.
Applicants will need to bring the following items to registration:
Photo ID
Birth Certificate
Income Verification for ALL household members (Acceptable forms of proof of income are 2 recent paystubs, current benefit award letter, income tax form, bank statements, etc.)
Custody Documentation (if applicant is NOT on birth certificate)
Verification of Governmental Assistance (if applicant received SNAP, Medicaid, TANIF)
**Please note that no children over the age of 1 are allowed at registration**
Registration will open on Tuesday, Oct 1 and run on weekdays until Wednesday, October 30, 2024. No holiday applications will be accepted after October 30, 2024.
Registration will be held in-person at The Salvation Army of Paris – Social Services Building at: 350 W Kaufman Paris, TX 75460
Registration is open the month of October 2024 from:
Mon – Thur: 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Fri: 2:00-3:00 p.m.
