On Nov. 2, Officers came into contact with Christopher Lee Davis (47), after responding to a call of a theft in the 1100 block of E. Grove. Davis was located in the area. A warrant check revealed an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The initial assault occurred in June of 2024 in the 2100 block of Cherry St. Davis is alleged to have assaulted a victim by stabbing them with a knife. Davis was taken into custody on the warrant without incident.
On Nov. 2, Officers responded to a call for service in the 200 block of NW 4th. A victim claimed that her spouse had assaulted her. The victim, an elderly disabled individual, had no obvious injuries and there were no witnesses to the incident. Officers made contact with the suspect, who denied the assault. The suspect was allowed to find alternate lodging for the evening and an investigation will follow to determine the validity of the alleged incident.
On Nov. 3, Officers responded to a Robbery in the 700 block of Graham St. An individual entered the store, demanded money, and then displayed an object which the clerk believed to be some sort of weapon. The suspect then entered the employee area, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and left the scene. Officers collected evidence at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. The victim (store clerk) was uninjured.
Officers made 28 traffic stops, 7 adult arrest, and answered 275 calls for service for this reporting period.
