On May 13 at 1645, Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Clarksville for a Violation of Protective Order complaint. The suspect, Ricky Byrd Carrol had a protective order prohibiting him from being within 250 feet of a victims residence. Carrol was well within the prohibited distance. He was arrested for Violation of Protective Order.
Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 700 block of Jackson St on May 14, at 23:35. They spoke with the caller, Trinity Flores. A warrant check revealed Flores to be wanted on a Parole Warrant (Felony). He was arrested on the warrant. No suspects were located on the initial call.
At 11:22 on May 14th, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of East Austin St. The vehicle passenger was Christopher Foiles. Foiles was known to have several outstanding warrants. He was arrested and charged with the warrants for DWI 3rd or more; Assault Causes bodily injury, Fail to Confine Dog, and Fail to Appear in Municiple Court. He was taken to the city jail and booked.
An officer stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of NE 5th on May 12, at 14:16 and arrested the driver, Destinae Edwards, on a Bond Surrender Warrant stemming from an earlier Possession of Controlled Substance Arrest.
Officers responded to a hit and run accident in the 2700 block of NE Loop 286. On May 12, at 19:19. Complainant’s vehicle was struck from behind and sustained severe damage. The complainant advised that the hit and run vehicle was a Champagne colored Chevrolet Avalanche and was driven by what he
perceived was a Hispanic male. The suspect vehicle left eastbound on NE Loop 286 and the victim was transported to a local medical facility.
At 01:44 on May 14, officers answered a call for service at a Local Medical Center at where two individuals reported that they had been assaulted at a family gathering. One of the two subjects had been struck in the face by another family member and one had been threatened with a firearm. No suspects were present and the investigation is ongoing.
Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 3500 block of NE Loop 286 on May 14, 2023 at 1234. The vehicle was entered as stolen into the State/Nationwide Database. It was recovered the following date in Kaufman County.
