Paris Police responded to a suspicious person call in the 1400 block of W Plum St at 6:36 A.M. on March 28, 2022. The complainant reported that an unknown male was banging on their door and hollering. Officers located 36 year old Brandon Tyrone Key, of Greenville, Texas, sitting in his vehicle. Officers observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle and could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers located numerous pills that Key did not have a prescription to possess. Also found in the vehicle was a pistol. Key was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2400 block of N Main St at 1:58 P.M. on March 28, 2022. The driver of one of the vehicles involved, was found to have outstanding Municipal Court warrants. 45 year old Toby Dale Bolyard, of Paris, was arrested and then found to be in possession of less than 1 gram of methamphetamine. Bolyard was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He is awaiting transfer to the Lamar County Jail.
