On Jan. 17 at 6:27 p.m., officers were summoned to the 300 block of Kaufman St. in regards to a disturbance. An employee at a local shelter advised that they had an individual that they wished to leave the shelter and who was refusing. Officers made contact with Andrecas Bauntez Morgan, 41, and advised him to leave the premises. Morgan refused to leave. He was ordered to leave the building numerous times and continued to refuse. Morgan was arrested for Criminal Trespassing at a Habitation or Shelter. He was transferred to the County Jail.
On Jan. 18 at 1:20 a.m., members of the Police, Fire, and EMS Departments responded to a house fire in the 300 block of 2nd NE. After the fire was contained, a victim was discovered in the residence. Identification is not available pending investigation by the Fire Marshall as well as notification of the victim’s family.
Officers made 25 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 115 calls for service on for this reporting period January 17, 2024
