Paris Police arrested Daniel Scott Villegas, 27, of Paris, in the 4300 block of Bonham St at 12:19 P.M. on February 25, 2022 on a felony probation violation warrant. Villegas was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
At 12:49 P.M. on February 25, 2022, Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of NE 13th St. One of the person’s involved, 37 year old Kimberly Sueanne Drake, was found to have an outstanding felony probation violation warrant. Drake was arrested and later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of SE 21st St at 3:15 A.M. on February 27, 2022. The victim reported that they had had a party at the residence and during the party, two guests had had a physical fight. The victim said that after the altercation, one of the person’s involved in the altercation left and returned with a handgun. The suspect then fired a bullet through the door and then entered the residence. The suspect then fired a second bullet into the floor and threatened the other person that was involved in the altercation. Both persons then left the scene before the officers arrived. The incident is under investigation.
Rory Gene White, 72, of Paris, was arrested at 7:39 A.M. on February 27, 2022 at his residence, on a felony warrant charging him with failure to comply with sex offender registration. White was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of NW 9th St at 4:23 P.M. on February 27, 2022 for a defective brake light. The officer observed the driver throw an object from the vehicle before it stopped. Officers located the object and it contained several small baggies of methamphetamine. The driver, 32 year old Thomas Dewayne Oringderff, of Paris, was arrested and charged with manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance of more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams, and tampering with physical evidence. Oringderff was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to 184 calls for service and arrested 21 persons over the weekend ending at midnight on February 27, 2022
