On Dec. 7 at 2:23 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Bonham St on a Welfare Concern. They found Michael John Cain (34) passed out on the sidewalk. It was determined that Cain was intoxicated and was a danger to himself. He was arrested for Public Intoxication. During the booking process, Cain was found to be in possession of prescription drugs that he did not have a prescription for. He was then charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
On Dec. 7 at 2:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for a violation in the 1000 block of NE 5th. A consentual search of the vehicle resulted in the arrest of Jessica Yuphone Jacobs (56), who was a passenger in the vehicle. Jacobs was found to have methamphetamine and marijuana in her pocket. She was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana <2 ounces.
On Dec. 7 at 10:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of E. Cherry in regards to a disturbance. As the officer arrived, he was flagged down by Waverly Dejuan Jeffery (56), who was leaving the area in a vehicle. It was established that Jeffery was intoxicated and he was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Officers continuing to investigate the original disturbance found that Jeffery had just left the residence on Cherry St. after attempting to run over victims there with his vehicle. Evidence was collected at the scene and Jeffery was subsequently charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon against a family member, a 2nd degree felony.
