Friday, December 10, 2021 at 8:31pm; Officer arrived in the 1900 block of Lamar Avenue in reference to a disturbance call and was advised by the manager that an intoxicated tenant was fighting with her boyfriend and requested her removed from the premises. Contact was made with Heather Renee Rayburn, who was screaming profanities and seemed to be very intoxicated, which sequentially resulted in charges of Disorderly Conduct/Language and Public Intoxication. Rayburn approached the back-up officer at his arrival, ignored his commands and resisted being taken into custody by physically striking both officers and spitting on the back-up officer. Rayburn was transported to the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office to be searched; where she kicked a jailer while be removed from the patrol unit, which all resulted in additional charges of Agg Assault Against Public Servant, Assault Public Servant, Harassment Of Public Servant and Resist Arrest Search Or Transport.
Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 03:23am; Officer observed a black female standing partially in the roadway in the 100 block of SW 7th street. She would drop a couple of items, pick them up, stumble a few steps and repeat the cycle. Subject was identify as Gwendolyn Lashawn Biggerstaff and determined to be intoxicated. During the process of taking Biggerstaff into custody, she bit the officer on his right arm. Biggerstaff was transported to the Lamar County Jail; searched by Jail staff and then transported to the Paris Police Department to be booked in on charges of Public Intoxication, Assault Peace Officer/Judge and Resist arrest search or transport.
Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:15am; Officer responded to a phone call of “sex crimes not listed”. The complainant reported that an inappropriate photograph of her had been distributed on social media. The incident will be investigated.
Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 1:11pm; Officer was dispatched to a burglary call in the 100 block of Northwest 29th Street. Complainant advised that he had been away from his residence for several day. During his absence, forced entry was made into his residence and a large amount of currency was stolen. The report will be forwarded to investigations for follow-up.
From Friday, December 10, 2021 through Sunday, December 12, 2021; the Paris Police Department responded to 203 calls for service and arrested 6 adult persons.
