A new child’s play facility, geared towards kids 8-years old and under complete with kids-sized buildings and a toddler play area, will soon be coming to Paris.
Paris Play is the dream of Thomas and Romy Zimmerman, owners of Tropical Sno Paris “Paris’ #1 Snow Cone Place,” who have wanted to open the indoor playroom for a long time.
“Because my wife has a background in and love for early childhood education, it was important to us that the heart of our play areas be screen-free, dramatic play,” said Thomas.
Kids will be able to play in “kids-sized” buildings, constructed by Bradley Nix with Mr. Nix It, to truly bring their play to life and there will also be building blocks and fidgets plus as small area of toys specific for 12-18-month old.
While the facility is gear towards kids 8-years old and under, older siblings will be welcome to play alongside as well.
“Parents will be expected to supervise their own children as they play but can do so from our comfortable seating area while enjoying treats and coffee from our snack bar.”
The couple said fun and safety is their number one priority and they have designed everything as they would want it to be designed for their own child.
“We have installed thick foam flooring that boasts a four-foot safe fall height and offer toys that are safe and captivating for a variety of ages.”
Paris Play is located at 120 27th Street NE in Paris, previously the Jazzercise building, the couple wanted to start smaller but are excited to grow in Paris so they can serve as many families as possible.
“We have so many dreams and plans for growth, and we are already looking forward to how we can expand and bring Paris the best place to hang out with your babies and friends.”
While an official opening date hasn’t been announced, they hope to open Paris Play in October.
