It was a busy year for the Paris Fire Department in 2023, responding to 4,417 calls for service — 78 of those being structure fires.
The department shared it’s ‘Year in Review’ last week, highlighting the number of calls the department as a whole responded to, as well as each unit.
Of the 4,417 calls for service, the following categorizes each call:
- Vehicle fire: 31
- Grass/trash/rubbish fire: 113
- EMS responses including motor vehicle accidents: 2,629
- Hazardous conditions (power line down, gas leak): 152
- Public service (public assist, police assist, animal rescue): 558
- Fire alarms (smoke, fire, water flow): 275
- Smoke scare/cancelled enroute: 573
- Severe weather standby: 8
