In recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, CASA for KIDS in Paris, Texas, held an art contest with the theme “Stopping Child Abuse.”
The contest was open to all local high school students, and North Lamar ISD proudly submitted seven pieces of art inspired by this important theme.
North Lamar ISD is thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of its students in the contest.
Jennifer Jackson placed 4th with her mixed media piece, Anna Tingle secured 3rd place with an acrylic painting, and Heather Garrett received the Grand Champion Award for her exceptional digital art piece.
All winners were awarded cash prizes and had their artwork displayed publicly. As the overall grand champion, Heather Garrett’s artwork will also be featured on a CASA for KIDS T-shirt.
This contest highlights the incredible talent of young artists in Paris, Texas, and demonstrates how they can make a positive impact in their community through their artistic abilities.
