North Lamar ISD elementary students participated in a regional Destination Imagination competition this past weekend.
Destination Imagination® (DI) empowers students to engage in creative problem-solving challenges.
Among the 6 standout teams that represented NLISD, 3 of the teams will advance to state competition!
Furious Four (3rd Grade): Bruce White, Carter Page, William Cooper, Raylan Smith.
The Furious Four took on the “Going the Distance” Engineering Challenge, demonstrating their ingenuity and teamwork.
Texas Twisters: (5th Grade) Lucia Cepeda, Bryson Cleere, Wyatt Blanton, Easton Reams.
The Texas Twisters took on the Technical Challenge, “Pinball Heroes,” showcasing their problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Stone Middle School Team: Avree Bennett (8th Grade), Kallen Craig (6th Grade), Sarah Jayne Cox (6th Grade), Landon Easton (6th Grade), Cassidy Lee (6th Grade).
The Stone Middle School teams participated in the Service Learning Challenge, “Uncharted,” demonstrating their commitment to community service and innovation.
” I am most proud of how this team has grown in the areas of problem solving, and collaboration. The competition is challenging and rewarding, but you are only as successful at it, as you are at working together.” says Bailey Intermediate sponsor, Christi Coe.

All NLISD teams will advance to the state-level competition, which will be held on April 12th and 13th at the University of Texas-Arlington in Arlington, TX.
