Paris, Texas, couldn’t be more proud this evening as the North Lamar Marching Band took home the bronze medal at the UIL State Finals.
Both North Lamar and Paris ISD Marching Bands qualified for the finals, performing earlier today with NLHS Band advancing to the final round this evening.
“We want to thank our students, parents and school community for supporting and helping us through this year with all the weather issues. We would also like to thank Arron Emmeyabbi and Steven Hohenberger for helping us and Paris HS bands with using stadiums and indoor facilities for practices. They have bent over backward for the bands.” said North Lamar’s band director Jason Smith.
“It’s not just about a music program, it is about instilling responsibility, good work ethic, learning to work and care for others, building positive relationships and pride in a job well done,” added North Lamar Band Booster President Diedra Rast.
CONGRATULATIONS to both North Lamar and Paris ISD Marching Bands. All of Paris is proud of you both.
