Kade Parson may only be seven-weeks old but the son of Lamar County Flight Nurse Rebecca Parson and her husband Montana, has already received his flight wings.
A flight nurse with Air Evac Lifeteam 139 for almost two years, Rebecca flew until she was 37 weeks pregnant; one week before she delivered.
“We are like a family at 139,” said Rebecca. “Every crew member took such good care of me and baby Kade throughout my pregnancy. I couldn’t ask for better.”
While in utero, Kade completed 79 flights and on Jan. 2, 2023, he was presented his flight wings by Medic John McClure and Nurse/Medic Jon-Michael.
“Earning your wings is a big deal in the HEMS world. His dad thought it was very cool and it was very thoughtful of the crew to make him a plaque and present him with wings.”
Kade is yet to fly since being born, however he sat in the helicopter when he received his wings.
