Mathews Auto Group on Tuesday recognized Brenton Whitaker and Shasta Hightower as the recipients of the North Lamar Employee of the Month award.
Whitaker is the head football coach and high school teacher.
“He has turned the football program around and changed the whole football culture into something attractive and positive for the kids athletics. He teaches bell to bell and his energy in the classroom is always exciting and fun. He is a true role model for our students,” said North Lamar ISD.
Hightower is the secretary at Everett.
“Shasta goes above and beyond for all of the staff and children at Everett Elementary. She works hard to get everyone’s needs done in a timely manner. Students love going to visit Ms. Shasta in the office to give her a big hug or tell her what they did over the weekend. She ROCKS at her job and we appreciate her so much.”
