It’s time for Paris’ Annual Mannequin Night being held once again in downtown at the square this Saturday night, Oct. 19

Mannequin Night sees volunteers dress in costumes and pose “like mannequins,” and this year’s theme is “A Place in Time.” Registration shows there are over 80-mannequin’s set to be in character on the streets in downtown Paris. From Daenerys Targaryen to Cruella DeVille, along with plenty of characters from the ages, fun for the whole family can be seen as you stroll past the windows of local businesses.

The event will run from 5:30–9:00 p.m. with the Zombie Walk kicking off that night at 5:15 p.m. on the north side of the square at the corner of North Main and Lamar Ave.

A Walking Historic Ghost Tours will also run from 6–9 p.m., which includes a tour of Sam Bell Maxey House and a trolley ride back to downtown included for $15. Children 5 and under are free. To take part in those tours, you can contact Sam Bell Maxey House for advanced tickets. Tickets will be sold for limited slots during Mannequin Night on the south side of the square near the fountain.

In addition to mannequins, there will be three live bands playing starting from 5 p.m. with The Core, then at 6 p.m. Lightning Ridge will take the stage before The Rhythmaddicts at 7:45 p.m.

Many downtown shops will remain open for your shopping convenience; food trucks will be parked near the square, and downtown restaurants will be open to tempt your tastebuds!

The public is welcome to dress in costume to add to the fun. Admission and parking are free.
