Lamar County officials reminds the community of its Code Red program which notifies users alerts during emergency situations.
The Code Red system sends out alerts in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. Examples include: evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, and missing child reports.
Simply registering a phone number, the emergency services will share the important information when needed.
