Registration is underway for the annual Kids Marathon, hosted by United Way of Lamar County, with kickoff just around the corner.
Kickoff for the annual Kids Marathon is set to run on Tuesday, March 21, at the Trail de Paris trailhead, near the Love Civic Center.
Everyone’s first mile will be ran on March 21 starting at 5 p.m.
Between March 21-May 9 students must log a total of 25 miles, and parents, guardians or teachers may sign the log sheet for verification.
In order to officially complete the marathon and receive a medal students must run in the finale from 4-6 p.m. on May 9. The last 1.2 mile-run will also be at Trail de Paris’ trailhead, near Love Civic Center.
At the finale, there will be a $100 Hibbett’s gift card drawing, and to be eligible, one must run in the finale.
To register a kindergarten-6th grade student visit www.Eventbrite.com. United Way of Lamar County asks participants to register online at www.Eventbrite.com no later than March 21, 2023.
