Jerry Dan Woerner, 78, of Paris, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018, in Paris Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 24, 2018, under the Evergreen Pavillion with Rev. Don Morton officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Woerner, Greg Woerner, Conner Johnson, Rance Johnson and Reece Johnson. There will be no set visitation time but friends may come by the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home to sign the register.

Jerry was born on November 5, 1939, in Paris, Texas a son of George and Irene Oyler Woerner. He was a graduate of Paris High School, attended Paris Junior College where he received an associate’s degree and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a longtime employee of UARCO where he was a foreman. He retired in 1994.

Jerry loved woodworking, traveling, and tinkering with just about anything.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Kay Hancock Woerner, whom he married on October 28, 1960, in Paris. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Jerry is survived by his children, Jeff Woerner, Jeri Kay Woerner Johnson and Greg Woerner; grandchildren, Taylor Woerner, Conner Johnson, Rance Johnson, Reece Johnson, Jordan Woerner, Katie Woerner and a great-granddaughter, Alaina Johnson; brother, Edward Woerner and a sister, Sharon Woerner Ruthart.

He was a loving and caring grandfather.
