Janice Gaynell Flournoy, 90, of Paris

Janice Gaynell Flournoy, 90, of Paris, TX went to join her Lord on April 28th, 2018. She was born on August 31st, 1927 in Bullock County, Alabama. She married the love of her life, Cecil Flournoy, on March 28th, 1942 at the young age of 14. Janice and Cecil were the epitome of a perfect love. They spent 70 wonderful years enjoying life together before Cecil’s passing on February 4th, 2013.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, John Baugh, brothers Jack and Jimmy Singleton, sisters Annie Laura Jordan, Dora Cole, Wilma Capps and Neal May, and brothers-in-law Oscar Jordan, Pete Cole, Herman Luck, and James Blakely, and sister-in-law Pansy Singleton.

She is survived by daughters Jane Baugh and Linda Hendricks, son David Flournoy and wife Judy, brother Winfred “Bob” Singleton, and wife Sharon, brother-in-law Van Flournoy and wife Ruth, sisters-in-law Frances Luck and Mary Blakely, brothers-in-law Thomas May and Morgan Capps.

She was blessed with grandchildren Gary Hendricks, Bob and Sylvia Hendricks, Chris Baugh, Randy and Mary Nell Hendricks, Keith Middleton, Jeff and Lori Hendricks, Tommy and Steffanie Flournoy and Tammy Flournoy and great grandchildren Teresa Baugh and Nick Goforth, Michael Middleton and Kate Collins, Kevin and Ashlee Baugh, Tanner Middleton, Lydia and Mo Khan, Emily and Kevin Hopkins, Scott and Donald Hendricks, Jeffrey, Jr and Grace Hendricks, Corey Hendricks, Kayla and Isaac Jones, Nathanael Henricks, Ashley, Amber, Autumn, and Tommy Cecil Flournoy, and seventeen great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janice was a member of Leesville Baptist Church and East Paris Baptist Church. Throughout her life, Janice loved to sing. The family always enjoyed listening to her and Cecil sing their favorite songs and play their instruments. Janice also loved to travel the country with Cecil in their RV or on their plane! She took great joy in square dancing with Cecil in their free time. Above all, Janice was a beautiful soul who adored her family, loved life, and leaves behind so many precious memories.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in the Leesville Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
