Alma Jean Johnson, 92, of Paris, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at her home.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 22nd at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Guille Seigler officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Red River County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Johnson, the daughter of Byron Duren & Ola Mae Monkhouse Duren, was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Clarksville, TX.
She worked a number of years as an administrative secretary at Campbell Soup. Alma was a member of Springlake Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
On May 5, 1950, she married Leonard Lee Johnson, building 70 years of family and memories before his death on Aug. 25, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and twin sons, William Clay Johnson & wife Elizabeth, and Joe Dale Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Johnson (Vickie) and Tim Johnson, grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Lindsey Walton (Casey), Zachary Johnson (Lauren), Duren Johnson (Brittnee), Jennifer Simmons, Monica Malone (Mark), Miley Slaughterer, Joe Johnson, Ferral Thompson, Paige Lohr, Brianne Johnson, Hannah Johnson, and Olivia Johnson, 32 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren along with several nieces & nephews.
