J.A. Dake, 74, of Cunningham, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at the TMC Bonham Hospital.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28th, at the Life Tabernacle Church in Cunningham with Geneva Norwood officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery at Cunningham. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Dake, the son of Charlie & Etta Marie Poole Dake, was born Feb. 2, 1944, in Paris.
On July 3, 1969, he married Patsy Carrol Chappell, building forty-five years of family and memories before her death on Jan. 13, 2015.
J. A. was a boilermaker before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a son, Lloyd Dake.
Survivors include three children; Laura Allen of Bonham, Jay Dake & wife Angela of DeQuincy, LA, and Michael Dake & wife Joni of Cunningham, a brother, Edgar Dake of Longview, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews along with a host of friends.
