Betty McIntire Sitz, 82, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at her home while surrounded by her two loving sisters and two nieces.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Loving officiating. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Sitz, the daughter of Joseph Monroe McIntire & Goldie Owens McIntire, was born June 28, 1936, in Madill, OK. She attended Oklahoma schools and Paris schools. Betty worked at Morgan & Lindsey’s and at Murphy’s. In later years she was an avid dealer in antiques, glassware and jewelry. She had a booth at the flea market and would go to garage sales and estate sales to replenish her inventory.
She was a faithful member of Graham Street Baptist Church for many years where she was baptized by Rev. Kenneth Short.
Betty enjoyed playing Skip-Bo with her husband, Andy, and friends.
On March 1, 1954, she married Joseph Andrew “Andy” Sitz, in Hugo, OK. They built 55 years of memories before his death on Feb. 1, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard McIntire.
Survivors include sisters and brothers; Cloyce Sitz of Paris, Alice Webb of Rowlett, Wylie McIntire & wife Norma of Paris, Albert McIntire of Paris and J. M. McIntire & wife Sue of Rockwall, many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews whom she loved very much, and a number of great great nieces & nephews including Morgan, Brooklyn, Kodi, Laken and Memphis, who were the light of her life.
Casket bearers will be: Wylie Webb, Darren McIntire, Ben Ramsey, Kenneth McIntire, Terry Sitz, Jimmy McIntire, Justin Ratliff and Jimmy Rosson.
