Clear your calendars on April 6th, as local policemen and firemen go head-to-head shooting hoops for a good cause.
The second annual ‘Gunz n Hosez’ basketball match, presented by Paris High School Student Crime Stoppers, will be held at Paris High School starting at 6 p.m.
“We wanted to put on an event that would be fun for the public to watch but also raise money for a good cause,” said Officer Billy Jordan.
The friendly rivalry between police officers and firemen will make for an exciting match, along with a live and silent auction being held during halftime.
“The silent auction will run from the beginning of the event until the fourth quarter and we will have a live auction during halftime with items such as handmade firepits/grills, nights at a cabin etc.”
All proceeds raised from the event will benefit Paris High School Crime Stoppers and help to provide scholarship opportunities.
Sponsorship packages are also available for $100 with sponsors benefitting in the way of exposure throughout the PHS main gym and on the event t-shirt. Sponsors also receive five tickets to the event.
“This will be a fun event for the whole family and we’re looking forward to helping raise money for the Paris High Crime Stoppers.”
